Final Fantasy XIV Patch 7.1, titled Crossroads, is set for release on November 12, 2024. This major update follows the Dawntrail expansion and introduces a mix of story progression, new raids, and added features.
Final Fantasy XIV Online Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida unveiled a new trailer for Patch 7.1, titled Crossroads. This will be the first major update since the latest Dawntrail expansion. Yoshida also announced that the patch will go live on Tuesday, November 12, 2024.
During the broadcast, Yoshida showcased Echoes of Vana’diel, the highly anticipated crossover alliance raid series with FINAL FANTASY XI, the first MMORPG from SQUARE ENIX®. The initial raid in the series, Jeuno: The First Walk, will be implemented in Patch 7.1, uniting the worlds of both iconic MMORPGs in 24-player battle content as adventurers journey into Vana’diel. Yoshida also previewed upcoming features, including:
• An “Ultimate” difficulty 8-player raid (coming in Patch 7.11)
• The first “Chaotic” difficulty 24-player battle content (arriving one week after Patch 7.15)
• Updates to PvP content
• Improvements to Hall of Novice tutorials

- New Allied Society Quests – Participate in new Pelupelu quests designed for battle classes and jobs
- New Custom Delivery Client – Nitowikwe
- Additional Role & Wachumeqimeqi Quests – Players who’ve completed all Dawntrail role quests or Wachumeqimeqi quests can enjoy a finale wrapping up their respective stories
- New Hildibrand Quest Series – Everyone’s favorite inspector returns for more Dawntrail antics
- New Game+ Support for Patch 7.0 – Replay main scenario quests, job quests, and role quests
- Duty Support Additions – Support for the non-main scenario quest dungeon Halatali, with future additions planned
- Player Housing Update – Select interior designs from different residential areas regardless of plot location, plus new interior designs
- Player Versus Player Update – Rework of multiple Crystalline Conflict maps, PvP action changes, and more
- Miscellaneous Updates – Hall of the Novice additions with training for various battle mechanics, NPC voiceovers for Doman Mahjong, and more.
